John is feeling better today.  All through the weekend, up through yesterday he had a temperature and flu like symtoms.  Some of the supplements or IVs are counteracting his prostate medication, and are making it hard for him to urinate normally, but other than that he is much better today.  The last two days at the Sponaugle Institute he has received a large (triple bag) of Glutathione. This should be diffuse the mold in his system. He will receive one on Thursday and Friday, also, and than we will be headed home.  We have a appointment scheduled with Gary (nurse) and Dr. Crozier on Friday morning to see where we go from here and what they recommend about coming back at a later date.  Right now it seems like it will take awhile for him to continue to detox his system, so it will take some time to see if he notices whether or not these treatments have changed how he feels.

After his IV we went to the lab and John got more blood drawn.  We will see what his numbers show when that comes in.  This evening, after organizing all the supplements John needed for the week, we had a relaxing evening watching American Idol.  Yea, Angie, Amber, Candice & Kree!  They are all so good.  Now it time for a good nights sleep!  Good Night All!

Today was John's last "Kill" IV.  We arrived at the Wellness Institute around 8:45 am in order to be one of the first in line.  There were already 3 or 4 others waiting outside for the doors to open at 9:00.  John has developed quite a comradery with each of these individuals and it is easy to connect with each person as they share their journey of how they also arrived here at the Sponagle Institute.  Some of whom are already seeing amazing results from the treatment.  After waiting for the staff to get a few new patients checked in and started, we joined many others, in the comfy recliners, of the IV room.  After John's body sucked up the large bag of Vitamin C (Kill) in about an hour, they then hooked him up to a smaller bag of Alpha Lipoic Acid.  Gary said that the "ALA" was like setting off a nuclear bomb.  I said, "For detoxing", He said, "No. For killing".

John then had a clonic in the early afternoon, and afterwards we went home to get a late lunch and to let him rest.  He slept solid for a couple of hours.  He was feeling better this evening, but he was definitely warm to the touch.  His body is trying to fight the toxins raging inside him.  (side note - after leaving the clinic this morning, John mentioned that his eyesight was blurring. His eyes seemed to be back to normal when I asked him about it this evening.)

The next 4 days will now be spent giving him Glutathione & Amino Acid IV's to detox out as much of the mold and other toxins that the "Kill" and "ALA" brought out of hiding.

The inspiration for this blog first started to keep family and close friends (or others who may also be searching for answers) updated on John's progress as we work towards the healing process.  John was told that he had the symptoms of Parkinsons Disease in May of 2011.  As I started to research and learn about this disease I learned that all the medical community has to combat this illness is drugs to mask the symptoms, but I hear in many cases they can make life better. I also keep hearing that there is no reversal for Parkinson's. I'm not convinced of that yet, so until then, we are on our trek to make Lemonade from the Lemons that have been handed to us.  And hopefully along the way we will be able to help and bless others from what we learn.  So here we GO. . . . .

The later part of March we set out to Palm Harbor, Florida, to the Florida Detox and Wellness Institute.  After doing some research I learned of this place and the alternative approach that they took to heal many with lyme disease, addictions and neurological disorders, including Parkinson's.

Our first day here (April 1, 2012) we met with Gary, our assigned nurse. He started to go over the items from John's test results. He told us of supplements and treatments that John would need while at the Wellness Institute. John still needed to have a Brain Scan.  We scheduled that for the next day.  We were told that John's mold toxicty level was 25 higher then normal, but that he tested negative to Lyme's. (Most of the people here are being treated for Lyme's, including John, in case it was a false negative)

After the brain scan on Tuesday, we started IV treatments on Wednesday (April 3). So Wed, Thurs and Fri., John was given Glutithione IV's to start clearing the mold out of his system.  The following Monday we met with Gary again, and I asked if we could start the Vitamin C IV's  (What they call "The KILL") since John had been doing the Glutithione IV's for months before coming there.  With Dr. Crozier's approval he approved.  We had one more Glutithione IV that day than started "The Kill" on Tuesday (April 9). Wednesday he received a bigger bag of The Kill or Vit. C, followed by an IV of antibiotic, Leviquin. The remainder of the week (Thur & Fri) he received Glutithione and Amino Acid IV's followed by Leviquin.

One thing I didn't mention is that all through this process John is also scheduled and receiving Colonics twice a week.

The week of the 15th John received the Vit C. IV's Mon-Wed. followed by the Leviquin, and the glutithione IV's followed by the Leviquin on Thur. and Fri.  (John's mold levels, at this point, are only 6 times higher than normal from his blood tests) Wednesday of this week, after his treatment, John started feeling light headed and started feeling sweaty and shakey.  They said that he might start feeling worse, but that that was a good thing.  They called it a die-off symptom, that showed that he was starting to break through his bio-film, the film protecting the toxins in his body.

On the 22nd and the 23rd he received more Vit C. IV's followed by Leviquin, and on the 24th he received a Vit. C IV only.  That day, Wed., while talking with Gary he started feeling bad (shaky and lightheaded) this episode seemed to be worse than last week, but again they said that this was a good sign. (At this appt. Gary reported that John's labs said his mold was back up to 17% higher than normal. He said this told him that the bio film had broken and released the mold toxins into his body.  So now we needed to continue to detox and clean his system.) Thurs.& Fri (25-26) they gave him a triple bag of Glutithione with Phosphatidylcholine added.

On Sat. we had fun touring around Tarpon and the Sponge docks with John Newell. It was great to see the area through his eyes, since he grew up here in this area.  We had planned to go to the Oakland Temple today, but John was not feeling well when we returned, so he went back to bed for awhile.  (Part of his issues are due to a deep tissue massage that he received on Thursday, he is pretty sore from that - this was not done at the Sponagle Institute.)

I tried to remember the past few weeks in one blog post, Hopefully I'll post more often now that I know how to.  Cheerio!
